Job Purpose
Create a pipeline of research that helps scale learning within the ecosystem and constantly adds value to existing knowledge; ensure that research is not duplicative; identify and execute on research agendas that cut across taskforces.
Critical Result and Responsibility
- Oversee and manage research partners and a research team and ensure high quality execution.
- Manage GAME’s knowledge management function in collaboration with the communications team.
- Lead/execute technical discussions / workshops (e.g., roundtables, technical sessions in convenings etc.

- Support taskforces with building & testing hypotheses, providing technical inputs, and executing on outputs (i.e., research studies, model/program evaluations, and pilots relevant to each of them)
- Advise and shape the research agenda of partners: many Alliance partners will conduct their own research; advise them on the direction (i.e. ensure it contributes to learning on mass entrepreneurship), and methodologies
- Envision monitoring, evaluation and learning plan for each workstream of GAME. Ensure a smooth execution.
- Act as a conduit between academic institutions, policy think tanks and grassroots organizations in building a collective understanding and agenda for job-driven small entrepreneurship.
- Execute primary and secondary research to deepen GAME’s understanding of the employment and entrepreneurship landscape of the country and participate and contribute to public debates.
Requirement
- Min, Qualification
Masters’ degree in social sciences - Relevant Experience
8-10 years of experience on leading primary and secondary research exercises. Experience in working with policy groups. - Soft Skills required
Leadership, institution building, team management - Any other specific skills required for the role.
Well versed with techniques of quantitative and qualitative research
