“As a child, I had no thoughts or dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. I was too busy studying science at Mithaibai college. And when I finally completed my graduation, I was married before I knew. It was a different world back then. Today at the age of 65, I am a very different person. The thought of becoming an entrepreneur occurred to me at the age of 45; I had 3 beautiful kids who were all growing up well and quite independent. I had very little time for myself, but I still thought I could start someday.Remember, ladies, as clichéd as it may sound, 'it is never too late to start up.' Don't listen to those mentors and investors who say starting up is a 20s phenomenon. My passion for cooking began when I was only 14 years old, and by the time I was 20 years of age, I was already pretty hands-on with making pickles, snacks, and sweets. It all started with me helping my mom in the kitchen and realising that I enjoyed this more than anything. Cooking is therapeutic for me.I became an entrepreneur at the age of 64 with the guidance and help of my 3 children & my well wishers. It’s never an easy journey when you are starting off, people will judge you. Don’t bother just focus on yourself and your goal. My son encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and my daughters started working on product marketing, snacks & sweets menu , selling, and creating & handling social media. From lockdown 2020 to now, there's been terrific and fabulous growth. Everyday is a new learning experience and I am not shy to learn even at this age and excel in what I do. When you work hard with passion , success is inevitable. Believe in yourself, and nothing is impossible. Age has nothing to do with passionate work, when you are determined to start.”
