Perceptions Branding

“As is the case in most the middle-class families, I had been surrounded by people doing a nine-to-five job, and the idea did not sit well with me. I did not come from a very wealthy family, so I had to stick to this plan initially until I discovered a way to venture into entrepreneurship.I completed my graduation as an engineer from VIT, Vellore, and tried to launch a project from Bengaluru, except that did not pan out well. Post that, I graduated with an MBA from VIT, Vellore itself. While studying, I had always been keen on Psychology and Neuromarketing. And thus, I started exploring it. In 2017, I did an internship with Mr Amitesh Sharma, CEO of N Coldpressed in Hyderabad. While doing that, we came across a very tangible idea of branding and marketing. I had always been good with thoughts in an appealing manner, and I analysed that this skill could be deployed in this field. I began researching the work of branding and marketing firms in Hyderabad, and to my surprise, I found that there was good potential in this market. The people were not aware of its importance, or the existing firms were too expensive for small businesses that needed them the most. I decided to take up this opportunity, and in February 2020, with the mentorship of Mr Amitesh Sharma, I started my firm, 'Perceptions', with Shruti Agarwal, Shouvik Bhattacharya, and Rutvi Shah. After a month, in March 2020, the nation went into a complete lockdown. This situation put forth two options for us. Either we could give it all we have or give up. All successful entrepreneurs have one trait in common: never to give up. So that is what we did, we did not give up, and today we have built a growing team of 32+ people. We, in India, need to accept and teach this culture of entrepreneurship even more rigidly. This will create space for us to support our people, and we never know when a world-changing idea will come into the picture. "
