Epic India Tours and Travels Pvt Ltd.
Nupur’s story of shifting gears from a sales role at a BPO to treading on the entrepreneurial route is truly EPIC. Nupur realised early on in her career that her heart lies in carving a niche for herself in the uncharted territory of ‘Corporate Tours and Travels’. And the journey started with just 7,000 rupees and a drive to deliver the best travel and event solutions to the corporate sector. Along with her now-husband Pankaj Malhotra, she started simply organising tours and offsites for a few companies. Today, her company Epic India Group is a full-service digital and experiential agency that plays neck to neck with the old players in the market. As a woman in the male-dominated world of MICE operations, she has had her share of challenges that made her understand the market in depth. It took time for her to make the vendors and partners, and often male team members, feel comfortable working with a woman. Fun fact, women form more than 60% of the staff at Epic today. Nupur’s dedication and creativity helped sail the organisation through one of the worst pandemics seen by humanity, which had especially hit the hospitality sector adversely. It was not easy, but she managed to big onboard brands and prestigious government clients in less than one year of venturing into advertising. Now, having adapted to the world of digital & experiential, Epic is exploring more geographies, offering operations & services on a global scale. Nupur's advice to budding entrepreneurs is to trust the process and the people around. Proper networking can make all the difference in the world. And lastly, it is okay to be vulnerable at times, but it is essential to stay humble in your journey as an entrepreneur.
