Saral jeevan Saheli

Shobha Kumar is a 34-year-old married woman from a small village, Kithoor from Alwar. “I have always followed the ideology of being an independent woman and have also been a representative at a self-help group in the village. However, due to the lack of opportunities in the village, I never got the chance to accomplish my dreams and become a successful independent lady. This was when I associated with Frontier Markets, a platform for women with the plan of voicing rural women and creating a community of women to empower us”. Shobha has always wanted to stay connected to her roots and become successful. With the help of Frontier Markets, she has been able to achieve that. “Earlier, I had major problems acquainting the villagers with products. It was a hassle to get the demo products, deliver them to the villagers, and collect them back. Still, with time the hassle got easier, and people got acquainted with the products and developed trust in me and my association with Frontier Markets.” With FM, I am connected to the villagers and am working with them, alongside being financially independent.I want to create my own identity and have my own business in the upcoming years. My experience with FM has helped me become all the more confident to work for my independence and create my own identity.
