Hard n Soft

Sundarrajan is the Director and CEO of Hard n Soft Technologies Pvt. Ltd. With over 23+ years of business experience, he recognized the potential of combining technology, design, and an internet strategy to create a Digital Solutions company. His area of focus is on new markets, AR, VR, AI, development, and future roadmap. In the late '90s, people were more inclined towards job offers from abroad. But unlike everyone, Sundar thought of building something at home. The company started in 1997. The concept of entrepreneurship wasn't very familiar in the Indian market then. To be a first-generation entrepreneur in the tech industry comes with challenges. Coming from an agricultural background and shifting into the tech sector requires a lot more than knowledge. The skillset and experience needed only comes with time. Understanding technology, building the company, bringing the investors were major challenges. Initially, they had a PC, no laptop, or any advanced gadgets at their access. The team used to commute to places with a CPU. One day they had to present to a major auto client in Delhi. Sundar barely had any money with him. His family and friends supported him with the capital. Sundar's friends also covered his travel costs to Delhi and back. He carried his CPU in a bag and presented it to the client. His client was impressed with him. Sundar comes from a rural background, where he did not have enough knowledge of finance. There are several schemes launched to support start-ups over the past few years. However, building a company in itself is an achievement. The company has faced challenges around finances, acquiring and retaining talent. At the moment the company has 175 employees. "Hard n Soft" is also working with companies abroad. They seek to grow as a global organization. They aim to create wealth for the four main segments of their company, the employees, the board, the customers, and the suppliers.
