Scaling of mass enteprises
Sayantani is currently working as a Program Manager for the Entrepreneurship Development Program
(EDP) at the Pratham Institute, the vocation skill training wing of Pratham Education Foundation. In her
time in Pratham, she has managed to support 400+ small and medium entrepreneurs in starting/ scaling
their business and has helped to increase their income levels. This has created a ripple effect as it has
increased job opportunities at the village cluster level.
As a part of the EDP team, she designs and implements models for training, mentoring and hand holding
of mass entrepreneurs. Impact assessment, primary and secondary research, training content creation,
human resource allocation, budgeting, MIS, App based data maintenance, entrepreneur financing tie
ups, market linkages – are some of the tools she harnesses for a smooth implementation of the program.
She also works closely with the program development team to manage donor relations and fundraising.
In 2015, she completed her B.A Hons in Political science from the Dept. of International Relations of
Jadavpur University, Kolkata and later went on to pursue a M.A in Public Policy and Governance from
Azim Premji University, Bangalore. She has interned with the Confederation of Indian Industries and
Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives (APPI). At APPI, she worked independently on a longitudinal
qualitative case study research on adolescent girls who receive curriculum based intervention on sexual
reproductive health, gender and life skill education.
