Shriya built a mini-biogas plant in school. She started Project Sitara, where she mobilised 15-20 volunteers to provide educational support to young girls in an orphanage and improve learning outcomes.
Shriya also developed a map of areas with urban flooding. As a Global Shapers Bangalore Fellow, she ran the Leafy Straw campaign and convinced coconut sellers to adopt bio-degradable straws. Shriya built the first hyperlocal, crowdsourced data platform of a clay Ganesha in Bangalore, and thus helped reduce Plaster of Paris idol immersion in local water bodies to just 2% in Bangalore.
