Roshan is a 38 year old businesswoman who stitches and sells nighties, chunaries and salwar kameez. She has been doing this business for the past 8 years. Roshan has pursued her education till class 10th and now currently lives with her husband and her three children in the goripalya settlement area in Bangalore.
When Roshan signed up for the Entrepreneurship Transformation programme she had a poor understanding of how to run her business. The training gave her the confidence to run her business efficiently; she started budgeting and managing her expenses; built efficient relationships with both the traders and her customers and participated in a peer community which provided emotional support. Today Roshan has seen a significant rise in her profits. Now she earns a profit of nearly Rs. 3250/month. She says that now that she has saved some money, she added it to a little loan amount she took and bought a good tailoring machine which has increased her productivity and now she can stitch much faster
